cygnus-oa-4-by-night

The Orbital ATK team put up their Christmas lights earlier this month.

With three supply interruptions in 2014 & 2015 (euphemisms for launch explosions) NASA was beginning to get anxious and the astronauts perhaps a little grumpy.  Rationing things like toilet paper has got to be a drag.

Kelly_PicWith this successful Christmas-eve supply delivery, a lot of people sighed with relief.

The OA-4 Cygnus mission was named in honor of Deke Slayton, NASA astronaut and commercial space promoter.  A picture of Deke greeted the station crew as they opened the supply ship’s cargo hold to find 7,700 lb of much-anticipated supplies.

They’re enjoying a happy Christmas up there.
